Capital Development Authority (CDA) has its guns up! They have very recently action against non-conforming usage of land and properties. All the properties that were being used against their allotment purpose were taken action against. With this connection, the Building Control Directorate, along with few other concerned entities and in collaboration with Islamabad Police and Islamabad District Administration has now strictly taken actions against the use of non-conforming lands in different areas of the city.
At G-9 Markaz, Islamabad; an operation was conducted where a plaza got sealed along with multiple warning letters in other areas. The plaza was sealed because the land where the plaza was built was initially allotted for a medical clinic. Shockingly enough the premises were being used commercially resulting in violation of the law. Thus very plaza was being used by the ‘Punjab Cash and Carry’, ‘Simirions Ladies Gym’, ‘First Women Bank’, and ten other shops. Earlier this year, these premises were sealed but later unsealed by the owner of the plaza – with a submission of an undertaking regarding non-conforming use. The authorities are now geared up for more actions to be taken against the violation of laws.
